Special Events You Don't Want to Miss Out On

AIHce EXP 2019 is just around the corner, and it’s time to plan out how to spend our time at the conference. Between the education sessions, visiting the EXPO, and catching up with old friends, it’s so easy to lose track of time and find yourself thinking “How did I miss this?”
We don’t want you to miss out on anything, so we’ve compiled this short summary for you.

At registration don’t forget to ask for a PAL, or be a PAL. The Personal AIHce EXP Liaison (PAL) Program helps first-time attendees get the most out of AIHce by matching them with an experienced AIHce attendee. And if this is your first time at AIHce EXP, you should also attend Monday morning’s First Timers Meet and Greet

The fairest of them all, the CareerAdvantage Fair at AIHce EXP is the perfect opportunity for you to advance your career and make important contacts – whether you’re an occupational and environmental health and safety (OEHS) professional or an employer looking for top talent.

Time for a quick knowledge bit? Check out our Pop-Up education, a new introduction to AIHce EXP. These short sessions will definitely enhance your conference experience. From health and wellness tips, to previewing the 2019 IH Salary and Compensation Survey, to some dos and don’ts of the CIH exam, these 20-minute sessions offer something for everyone.

If you are looking to gain a practical understanding of management issues, empowerment, ethics, and more – all in the context of today's evolving workplace environment—then the Women in IH Leadership Summit is right for you. This inaugural program on Saturday prior to AIHce EXP offers a unique blend of vision, inspiration, and practical skills that you can apply immediately even as you build upon them for your professional future.

Our Expo Learning Pavilions are areas within the AIHce EXP Exhibit Hall, designated for product demonstration presentations during select hours. Presentations can be physical demonstrations of equipment, instrumentation, technology, research development, or other materials. Exhibitors will also teach attendees a new skill or application or show how a product can solve a workplace problem or issue. These demonstrations will be roughly 10 to 15 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes allotted for Q&A.

The Academic Education Track is another new addition to the AIHce EXP program that was developed for IH/OH students and young professionals to help enhance their career goals.

Thinking about updating your professional head shot, but haven’t had a chance to do it yet? You should schedule some time for our Head Shot Café! Stop by the AIHA Booth 1735 on Tuesday for a professional head shot! Appointments are first-come, first-served and require a minimum $20 donation to the AIH Foundation.

These are just a few of the special events that are waiting for you at AIHce EXP in Minneapolis. In the meantime, join the conversation at AIHce  EXP 2019 Attendee Community at Catalyst.
